Inspire and prepare young people to succeed

Junior Achievement Helps Prepare Today's Students for a Bright Future

JA of Greater Kansas City's volunteer-delivered, kindergarten-12th grade programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills, and use experiential learning to inspire students in our community to dream big and reach their potential.

Why Junior Achievement?

JA mentors power possibility for students. After meeting adults with real-world experiences, kids realize that the education they are getting today will help them to have a bright future tomorrow. JA's unique, volunteer delivered programs, show them all of the possibilities that lay before them. Students see they can choose different paths; College? A specific trade? Start their own business? Their potential is limitless. YOU or YOUR ORGANIZATION can join the movement to create change in your community. Need convincing? Just check out these stats:

> 1 in 3 JA Alumni credit Junior Achievement for influencing their career decision. 1 in 5 work in the same field as their JA volunteer.

> 70% of middle school students reported they STILL use the knowledge and skills acquired at JA BizTown.

> 93% of JA students receive a high school diploma or GED. JA Alumni are 67% more likely to have an advanced degree.

> 99% of JA volunteers would recommend JA to their colleagues and friends.
