Along the way, you can encourage your friends and family to cheer you on and support KC's next generation of leaders by making a donation in your honor.
Proceeds from this event will empower Junior Achievement volunteer mentors to inspire kids through career preparedness, entrepreneurship, and financial decision making programs at the brand new 22,000 sq. ft. JA Youth Learning Lab in Kansas City, Kansas and in classrooms across the metro.
Participants will receive a virtual bib number, digital completion certificate, and access to the innovative Racery app.
ABOUT JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT OF GREATER KC:
JAKC supports the growing demand for real world learning by providing programs which inspire students as they strive to fulfill their greatest potential, in and beyond the classroom. JAKC increases access to learning opportunities which promote economic mobility for ALL youth. JAKC brings together companies, community volunteers, and schools to create engaging and enriching experiences that equip the next generation of leaders with the knowledge, skills, and capacity to be successful, in turn driving local, regional, and national economic development, and increasing the standard of living in ALL communities.
A comprehensive, equitable education is a catalyst to a choice-filled life. But for thousands of young people across Kansas City, this opportunity is drifting further from their reach. Stalled by financial insecurity, systemic injustice and inadequate access, today’s youth are being forced to abandon their hopes of attaining the “American” dream. With your support, children can reconnect to their potential and regain confidence for a bright future. Together we can create economic opportunity and fuel a more equitable and just tomorrow. Because every child deserves to believe in themselves — and to have the tools, access, and opportunity to do it.
