Many words can be used to describe 2020. Unprecedented. Divisive. Uncertain. But as I think back on the last twelve months, my mind is filled with one word: HOPE. This year, you defended the futures of our community’s children with persistence and determination. And it fills me with hope.
This year we have navigated many struggles together. We did so because of your support, trust, and belief in hope for the future for kids.
YOU understood the crucial opportunity this year presented to collaborate to ensure Kansas City’s success long after 2020 is over. THANK YOU.
YOU provided the tools JA educators and partner schools desperately needed to keep students engaged and motivated in remote learning. THANK YOU.
YOU opened your heart, lifting your voice to give JA kids certainty and hope for a choice-filled future. THANK YOU.
The demand for the resources Junior Achievement provides has increased dramatically in recent months. Despite the incredible efforts of JA Champions like you, the costs of adapting programs for virtual classrooms required significant resources with an unexpected price tag, depleting funds earmarked for programs in 2021.
But you can help guarantee JA kids can access programs and experiences in 2021 with a gift today.
We need to secure $50,000 by December 31 to ensure KC students, educators, and families have access to the inspirational JA role-models and materials which empowered them this year... and which will help keep hope for the future alive in 2021.
In an incredible act of generosity, JA Champions Sarah and Scott Ferguson have stepped up to provide a $10,000 match towards individual gifts made before the year ends. I need your help to make sure every cent of this match is taken advantage of before December 31.
